One thing we appreciate about Tanning Studio is its focus on safe tanning treatments. The tanning beds and lotions used here have sun protection or SPF. The machines also use 36 to 64 UV lamps, so you can get the tan you want in as little as eight minutes.  

What also sets them apart is their advanced tanning technology. Some of their tanning machines combine UV light with red light collagenic technology. This gives you a healthy tan and promotes collagen stimulation for skin rejuvenation.

Even clients with eczema and sensitive skin that we talked to recommend this tanning solution.

Another reason we recommend Tanning Studio is its accessibility. With branches in Mong Kok, Central, and Causeway Bay, it’s easy to find a branch nearby.

That said, we did take points off because of the limited service range and expensive tanning plans.

TopOne Tanning stood out to us for its affiliation with Health One Medical Care. Since all their indoor sun lamp treatments and tanning products are directly sourced from this medical provider, there’s a sense of quality control that we appreciate.

We love that they offer free skin color consultation, which helps clients determine the most flattering tanning tone. We found it really helpful for those new to tanning and unsure where to start.

We also have to give them credit for the first-time customer perks. If you register online, you can get a free trial of the Tan-Up Sun Lamp and a complimentary pack of tanning lotion and protective eye patches. 

Another thing we like about TopOne Tanning is its straightforward process. Once you register and pay online, you can drop by the salon and enjoy your tanning session. 

You don’t even have to pay membership fees or monthly administrative fees to try their services.

However, one drawback we’ve noticed is the level of customer service. We think the staff could be more approachable and helpful, particularly when it comes to guiding clients on machine use.

Dream Tanning is a cozy tanning studio featuring advanced indoor tanning technology from Germany. 

Although the studio is quite small, we like that it provides hybrid tanning beds with UVA and UVB lamps, which work well on various skin types. We recommend it if you prefer deeper and richer tans.  

One feature we appreciate is the added comfort and privacy. Each tanning room here has its own private shower. Plus, the tanning beds are Bluetooth-enabled, so you can listen to your favorite tunes!

Another plus is their late closing time. They’re open until 10 PM, which we think is great if you have a hectic schedule. 

When it comes to pricing, we can say you get your bang for your buck at this tanning studio. You can save and earn more bonuses if you take advantage of more sessions.  

For example, their 10-tanning-session Newbie Plan is only worth HKD 999. Meanwhile, a 30-session package costs HKD 2,580 and includes a bonus of HKD 200 credit on tanning products. 

Overall, we really like how simple and budget-friendly their tanning packages are. Sadly, though, their studio only offers UltraSun Tanning.

We like that they let clients customize their own treatment bundles. This allows customers to avail of the services they fancy and save more through the special pricing discount for bundles.  

When it comes to tanning, their offerings are limited since they’re more focused on spray tanning. 

Nonetheless, we really like that they use airbrush spray tan machines and SunFX spray tans, which come in 20 different shades and tones. This makes it easy to find a good match, no matter how light or deep you want your tan to be.  

We also appreciate the first-time customer discount they offer. New clients can get up to 25% off their first session. 

For those keen on trying to self-tan at home, they also sell a diverse range of spray tan machines, self-tanners and lotions, and finishing powders.
