Sometimes, it’s hard to imagine sweets and healthy ever being in the same sentence, but Sweet Secrets make it possible. Focusing on health-conscious cupcakes, they’re perfect for buyers who want to indulge without the guilt.
I love their cupcakes since they’re sugar-free and gluten-free, but they always taste just as good as the traditional options. Every option is still light and airy, and yes, they’re moist enough to melt in your mouth with every bite.
They do carry various flavors, including orange blossoms and bananarama. If I have to pick a favorite, though, any lemon-based dessert is up to par – the tangy zest is simply hard to beat, especially those with blueberries on top!
2. Twelve Cupcakes (Causeway Bay)

Address: Shop G15, 311 Gloucester Rd, Causeway Bay
Contact Details: +852 2799 9260
Operating Hours: Monday – Sunday: 11:30 AM – 9:30 PM
Price: $$$
If you have a thing for premium cupcakes (count me in too!), you’ll love Twelve cupcakes. They customize everything based on client taste and design preferences, so you’re really getting value for your money.
Just take note, though, that this means premium prices. One ready-made cupcake alone will set you back $29. One dozen is much cheaper, but it’s still a significant $300 per purchase.
Of course, if the splurge is no big deal to you, you can enjoy their high-quality cupcakes. Even their butter is imported from France, allowing them to create decadent and moist flavors, including cream cheese frosting and green tea chocolate.
3. Baking Maniac

Address: 5C, 40 Wong Chuk Hang Rd, Wong Chuk Hang
Contact Details: +852 6699 8093
Operating Hours: Tuesday – Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Sunday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Price: $$$
Baking Maniac is the place to go if you’re focused on customizing cupcakes for an event or celebration. They’re simply the best at it – they’re prompt with replies and are always quick with the turnaround (depending on order volume though!).
I just find their offerings a bit too expensive, with regular cupcakes costing $32 each. Fortunately, they have these nice mini cupcakes that are only $20 per piece. It’s a nice way to explore the various flavors they order.
Speaking of which, they have options like bubble tea, toffee apple, and more. I love how moist and buttery their products are, made even better by the fact that they’re eggless, gluten-free, and vegan – a nice healthy option to enjoy when craving sweets!
4. The Good Cake

Address: For pick-ups only – CWB station, Exit F1 / Happy Valley Starbucks,
Contact Details: +852 9664 0698
Operating Hours: Deliveries: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Price: $$$
If you want to consume cupcakes for a good cause, The Good Cake should be on your list. As they say themselves, they’re “a tiny bakery that does good,” and apart from their mission, the same can be said of their products.
Their creations are made-to-order using zero preservatives (note: you need to order at least 3 days in advance). They offer various flavors too, including cinnamon, blueberry, and fresh apple.
I do love their cinnamon the best, as it has aromatic hints of vanilla and brown sugar. The fresh apple is rightly fruity which I loved having with tea instead of coffee or hot choco.
Prices? Not the most pocket-friendly at $228 for six pieces. On top of that, they charge $80 for deliveries to Hong Kong Island and $150 for TST and Hung Home areas – pretty significant, right?
At least, you can sleep at night knowing that proceeds go to buying rice for the poor and the elderly in Hong Kong. So far, they’ve sent over 4.7 tonnes of rice to their food bank partners!
5. I Love Babycakes

Address: 15 Lung On St, Wan Cha
Contact Details: +852 9682 0215
Operating Hours: Monday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Price: $$
After great success in Mumbai, the owners of I Love Babycakes brought their creations to Hong Kong in 2019. Ever since, they’ve been one of the go-to spots for customized cupcakes, whether it’s a small or big event.
Their prices are amazing too. Mini cupcakes sell for six pieces at $90. If you order regular cupcakes, this will set you back $150. The specialty ones are slightly more expensive at $180 for six pieces.
By the way, they have these cute coin cupcakes in-store – they’re called that because they’re as small as a $5 coin! This one’s perfect if you want to enjoy a variety of flavors in one go.
For flavors, they usually have Oreo, vanilla, and bubble gum. The bubble gum is a little too sweet for me, but I bet the kids will love it! The vanilla cupcake, on the other hand, is just perfect because the buttercream is luscious and thick!
6. Complete Deelite

Address: 2/F & 3/F, On Lan Centre, 11-15 On Lan Street Central
Contact Details: +852 3167 7022
Operating Hours: Monday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

For those planning an event and don’t want to overthink cupcake decisions, Complete Deelite is the best option. Their store features various cupcake sets with different motifs, such as magic unicorns, mermaids, and rainbows.
If none of those designs get your attention, they also do made-to-order decorations. You can then choose from various flavors, including chocolate, vanilla, and caramel. Personally, I’ve had their caramel ones multiple times already – those toasty caramel notes are just addictive!
By the way, the place also has programs and classes for cupcake making. So if you’re celebrating a kid’s party (or any occasion actually), you can book their venue for 2 hours to enjoy baking classes.
7. Phoenix Sweets

When the time comes that you need cupcakes for an important event, Phoenix Sweets will save you the trouble. They can cater corporate events as well as weddings, so they’re a flexible choice no matter what the theme is.
The highlight of their creations is definitely the taste. Their cupcakes are less sweet but still delicious – might be because they use only natural ingredients – common ones include organic rose water and natural fruit puree.
In case you need items urgently though, you can still rely on their services. They have these part sets available for order online. With this, you can get daily special flavors – one order usually features 6 to 8 choices.
8. Natural Chiffon

Address: Shop B66, B/F, Ginza Plaza, 2A Sai Yeung Choi Street South, Mong Kok
Contact Details: +852 5401 6736
Operating Hours: Monday – Sunday: 12:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Price: $$
Natural Chiffon is a pretty popular spot in Hong Kong for some of the tastiest desserts. They have a few branches here and there, so it’s easy to place orders based on which franchise is closest to you.
Now, when it comes to cupcakes, they provide a good balance of taste and presentation. I loved that they used handmade butter cake for this, giving each bite a nice, moist texture.
In terms of flavors, there are options like rose lychee, honey chocolate, raspberry, and more. The honey chocolate is one of my favorites, as it has that deep, cocoa flavor that doesn’t overpower thanks to the honey’s sweetness.
Just take note that when it comes to ordering, there may be some hiccups if you order at peak hours (10:00 AM to 12:00 PM). If you need customized designs, it’s best to connect with them at least 5 days ahead.
9. Frenchie Toquee HK

Contact Details: +852 5593 5322

Price: $$
Though better known for their premium cakes, Frenchie Toquee is also a great spot for cupcakes and other French-inspired desserts. They have both ready-made and custom options so they cater to any type of customer needs.
For those who need a few pieces for a small party, they have chouxe platter which comes with a minimum order of 6 pieces per flavor. You can choose between vanilla, hazelnut, and chocolate.
You can also enjoy their regular cupcakes which are made with vanilla base and are topped with either vanilla or chocolate cream. If you want to take my word for it, the vanilla topping is heavenly!
Ordering here is easy too as you can select as many types of desserts as you can. If you want to enjoy free shipping though, you need a minimum order of at least $750.
