In Wan Chai, there’s this small hidden spot that offers some of the best Indian food you’ll ever have in the city. Delhi 6 is a delight for those who want biryani that goes all out on the aroma and taste.

You can immediately tell their lamb is slow-cooked, considering how tender and flavorful it is. The spices too are very pronounced. You can really taste the cinnamon, cloves, and cumin as you dive in.
Ordering is simple here so you can drop by if you just want a quick takeout. But if you want the best dining experience, you’ll want to try out their Ngong Ping village branch – you’ll enjoy amazing views here and nice, chill weather!

If you want to enjoy food at a venue that feels young and fun, Bengal Brothers is your spot. They bring the energy of Indian street food right to Wan Chai, providing a vibrant and energetic space for quick meals.
The jackfruit dum biryani will blow your mind. It gives you all the satisfaction of meat-infused biryanis, except this one has jackfruit! It’s actually quite similar to a lamb biryani when it comes to taste, except this one is more vegan-friendly.
To enjoy some time here, you may want to reserve a table as the peak hours (noon to lunchtime) are really busy. And to cool down, make sure to order their masala chai with chai-infused ice cubes – they’re awesome!
6. Woodlands

If you want something Indian but also vegetarian, you can’t skip Woodlands. It’s a go-to spot for the locals for those who love South Indian flavors. And with their newly revamped Mughal-inspired decor, dining in will feel much more comfortable.
While the place is more famous for their dosas, their vegetable biryani is worth lining up for. With the fragrant basmati rice, you can really taste the texture of the ingredients, especially the freshness of veggies and the hints of spice here and there.
If you find their biryani a little too strong, you can order their Madras filter coffee to balance things out. And if you’re planning to eat out as a group, it’s best to arrive early as the place gets busy fast.
