Neighborhood in Central is best known for its American dishes, but it does take some French inspiration for its desserts. Their apple pie takes on a beautiful tarte tatin quality that we really love.
The apples take on a gorgeous golden-brown crust that’s further elevated by a decent level of flakiness. The crust even looks laminated, thanks to the butter used and the thick caramel coating of the apple wedges.
Just take note that this pastry is a once-a-week special at this restaurant. They usually serve this every Friday night, though it’s best to stay updated with social media for announcements.

Their apple pies are always freshly baked, so you can always get a warm one. It’s neither sickly sweet nor dry, as each piece is filled with Aomori apples and delicious creamy mustard. The apples complement well with the caramel cream, giving it a light and airy pastry texture.
Once you’re there, you can even enjoy a piece of their Hokkaido milk ice cream—they’re gigantic and velvety, so it’s worth the price.

Compared to other options on this list, this one leans more on the American style. They use two different types of apples (red and green), giving the pie a nice, distinct texture. The difference in flavors gives it a nice balance as well.
Their apple pies are thinner than most options, so you may want to get other goodies to get full (their pineapple bun is delicious!). The place also has a decent selection of coffee and tea, making it a nice spot to kill time.
